This medication contains ciprofloxacin. It is used for certain types of bacterial infections such as pneumonia, urinary tract, skin, bones and joint infections.

Why prescribe	Prescribed for certain types of bacterial infections such as pneumonia, urinary tract, skin, bones and joint infections.
Recommended Dosage	Lower Respiratory tract infections, Skin and soft tissue infections, Up per Respiratory tract infections, Prostatitis, Pelvic inflammatory disease, Intra -abdominal infections Adult - 500 to 750 mg twice a day for 7 -14 days. Malignant external otitis -750 mg twice a day for 28 days to 3 month. Cystitis, Cervicitis, Gonococcal urethritis, Pyelonephritis, Bone and joint infections, Diarrhoea, Typhoid fever Adult - (Uncomplicated) -250 -500 mg bid for 3 days pre -menopausal women -500 mg as a single dose. Complicated -500 mg bid for 7 days Treatment and postexposure prophylaxis of inhalation anthrax Adult - 500 mg twice a day for 60 days from confirmation of Bacillus anthracis exposure. Child - 10 -15 mg per kg body wt bid 60 days from confirmation of Bacillus anthracis exposure. Maximum 500 mg per dose.
Directions of Usage	Should be taken with or without food.
Route of administration	ORAL
Contra Indications	Inadvisable for the patients with hypersensitivity to any of the active ingredients.
Storage Conditions	Store at room temparature.
