This medication contains oxazepam. It is used for anxiety and panic disorders. It reduces the nervous tension.

Why prescribe	Prescribed for anxiety and panic disorders. It reduces the nervous tension.
Recommended Dosage	Alcohol withdrawal syndrome Adult- 15-30 mg 3 or 4 times daily. Elderly- Initially, 10 mg 3 times daily, increase up to 10-20 mg 3 or 4 times daily as necessary. Anxiety Adult- 15-30 mg 3 or 4 times daily. Elderly- Initially, 10 mg 3 times daily, increase up to 10-20 mg 3 or 4 times daily as necessary. Insomnia associated with anxiety Adult- 15-25 mg given 1 hour before bedtime. Up to 50 mg may be occasionally required.
Directions of Usage	As directed by physician.
Route of administration	ORAL
Contra Indications	Inadvisable for the patient with acute narrow-angle glaucoma, severe liver disease,psychosis or taking sodium oxybate (GHB).
Storage Conditions	As mentioned on the label.

Warnings and Precautions

Caution should be exercised in conditions like cerebrovascular disease, acute narrow-angle glaucoma, suicidal tendencies, history of drug abuse, myasthenia gravis, chronic pulmonary insufficiency or sleep apnoea and hepatic or renal impairment.
