Why prescribe	Prescribed for the control of generalized tonic-clonic (grand mal) and complex partial (psychomotor, temporal lobe) seizures and prevention and treatment of seizures occurring during or following neurosurgery
Recommended Dosage	Epilepsy Adult- Initial dose-, 3-4 mg/kg daily as single dose or in divided doses. Alternatively, 150-300 mg daily increased gradually to 600 mg daily as per condition. Child- Initial dose-5 mg/kg daily in 2-3 divided doses. Maximum dose -300 mg daily.
Directions of Usage	Should be taken orally with food.
Route of administration	ORAL
Contra Indications	Inadvisable for the patient with hypersensitivity to any of the active ingredients.
Storage Conditions	Store at room temperature.

Caution should be exercised in condition like heart problems, low blood pressure, blood disease porphyria, liver disease, sugar, any allergy.

It may develop suicidal thoughts in teenagers, watch them carefully. It may raise blood sugar level; monitor sugar level regularly. Avoid excess dosage.
