Why prescribe	Prescribed for prevention and treatment of osteoporosis in men and postmenopausal women
Recommended Dosage	Allergic Rhinitis Adult-10 mg orally once a day. Child-(15 years or older)- 10 mg orally once a day,( 6 years to 14 years)- 5 mg once a day,( 2 years to 5 years)- 4 mg once a day. Prophylactic dose of bronchospasm 10 mg taken orally once a day.
Directions of Usage	Should be administered by healthcare provider into the vein.
Route of administration	ORAL
Contra Indications	Inadvisable for the patient with hypersensitivity to this active ingredient.
Storage Conditions	Store at room temperature.

Other Precautions

The medication should be taken under strict doctor's guidance during pregnancy and breastfeeding (Pregnancy category: D). Drink adequate fluids to avoid dehydration. Do routine oral examination in patients at risk of osteonecrosis of the jaws. Monitor serum electrolytes, calcium, phosphate and magnesium. Withhold treatment if there is worsening of kidney function. It may cause dizziness, do not drive a car or operate machinery while taking this medication. Maintain proper level of calcium and Vitamin D. Patient may develop kidney impairment.
