Why prescribe	Prescribed for choriocarcinoma (cancer of the tissue that normally would develop into placenta). It is also used in other cancers like blood, breast and lung cancers. It is also used to suppress immunity in conditions such as psoriasis and rheumatoid arthritis.
Recommended Dosage	Burkitt's lymphoma- Adult- 10-25 mg daily for 4-8 days, repeated after 7-10 days. Choriocarcinoma- Adult- 15-30 mg daily for 5 days, repeat after an interval of more than1 week for 3-5 courses. Mycosis fungoides- Adult- 2.5-10 mg daily to induce remission. Psoriasis- Adult- 10-25 mg weekly as a single dose. Rheumatoid arthritis- Adult-7.5 mg once weekly. Not more than 20 mg/week.
Directions of Usage	Should be taken with or without food. IV:- It should be administered by healthcare provider into the vein.
Route of administration	ORAL
Contra Indications	Inadvisable for the patients with liver disease and people with low blood counts or decreased immunity.
Storage Conditions	Store at room temperature.
