Why prescribe	Prescribed for the treatment of schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.
Recommended Dosage	Schizophrenia- Adult- Initial Dose- 5 to 10 mg daily adjusted in steps of 5 mg, according to response. Maximum Dose- 20 mg daily. Acute mixed or manic episodes in bipolar disorder- Adult- Initial Dose- 10 or 15 mg daily as monotherapy or 10 mg daily when used as part of combination therapy. For prevention of recurrence- Start with 10 mg daily.
Directions of Usage	Should be taken with or without food.
Route of administration	ORAL
Contra Indications	Inadvisable for the patient with hypersensitivity to any of the active ingredients.
Storage Conditions	Store at room temperature.

Caution should be exercised in condition like liver, stomach problems, enlarged prostate, increased eye pressure, neuroleptic malignant syndrome (NMS), lung disease, suicidal thoughts, heart attack, irregular heartbeat, seizures, obesity, breast cancer, difficulty in swallowing, high/low blood pressure, sugar, any allergy, who are taking other medications, elderly.
