Why prescribe	Prescribed for schizophrenia.
Recommended Dosage	Schizophrenia- Adult- Initial Dose- 50-100 three times a day daily. Maximum Dose- 800 mg daily in 2-4 divided doses. Child- 2-12 year- Initial Dose- 0.5 mg/kg daily in divided doses. Maximum Dose- 3 mg/kg daily. Depression- Adult- Initial Dose- 25 mg three times a day.
Directions of Usage	Should be taken with or without food.
Route of administration	ORAL
Contra Indications	Inadvisable for the patients with hypersensitivity.
Storage Conditions	Store at room temperature.

Caution should be exercised in condition like heart problems, high or low blood pressure, blood problems (eg, porphyria), bone marrow depression, liver, kidney problems, enlarged prostate gland, epilepsy, ParkinsonÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã¢â€žÂ¢s disease, Reye syndrome, breast cancer, increased eye pressure, any allergy.

Do not become overheated in hot weather; otherwise it may cause heatstroke. Patient may develop with increased risk of neuroleptic malignant syndrome (NMS) and tardive dyskinesia with the following symptoms: body heat, muscle rigidness, altered mental abilities, irregular or fast heartbeat, sweating. If it is so consult with your healthcare provider. Avoid long-term use of this medication; otherwise involuntary and uncontrollable movements may develop. Avoid excess dosage.
