Why prescribe	Prescribed for the treatment of a wide range of inflammatory and auto-immune conditions such as asthma, uveitis, rheumatoid arthritis, ulcerative colitis, temporal arteritis and Crohns disease, Bells palsy, multiple sclerosis, cluster headaches, systemic lupus erythematosus, acute lymphoblastic leukemia and autoimmune hepatitis and dermatomyositis.
Recommended Dosage	As recommended by physician.
Directions of Usage	Should be taken after food.
Route of administration	ORAL
Contra Indications	Inadvisable for the patient with live vaccines, herpes simplex keratitis and systemic infections,hypersensitivity to the active ingredients.
Storage Conditions	Store at room temperature.

Warnings and Precautions

Caution should be exercised in condition like hypothyroidism, cirrhosis, ulcerative colitis, CHF, convulsive disorders, thrombophlebitis, peptic ulcer, hypertension, psychological disturbances, osteoporosis and diabetes mellitus.

Side Effects

Can cause cushings syndrome and growth retardation in childn; osteoporosis

fractures. Peptic ulceration; glaucoma

cataracts; hyperglycaemia

pancreatitis; increased appetite

obesity. Topical: Thinning and atrophy

systemic absorption with prolonged use over large surface

broken skin or under occlusive dressing. Rash

allergic reactions

pruritus. Intradermal/Intralesional: Local hypopigmentation of hyperpigmented lesions. Ophthalmic: Raised IOP and reduced visual function. Potentially Fatal: Acute adrenal insufficiency precipitated by infection

trauma or surgery in patients on long-term therapy or following cessation of such therapy. CV collapse following rapid IV injection.
